The Stainless II is Kimber's M1911-style semi-automatic pistol family offered in a stainless finish. Kimber's 1911 models share factory features such as a lowered ejection port, a match/custom style trigger, a beveled magazine well and extended thumb safety with a beavertail grip safety.
Kimber's 1911 platform also incorporates the standard 1911 safety devices listed by the manufacturer (grip safety, thumb safety, sear disconnect and hammer safety notch) and, on Series II models, an internal firing-pin/block safety. The Stainless II name denotes the stainless finish/frame option in Kimber's 1911 lineup.
