The Kimber KDS9c Rail is a double-column, hammer-fired semi-automatic pistol built as a compact, everyday-carry (EDC) personal protection platform. It delivers a 15+1 standard capacity (with available 18-round extended magazine) in a carry-sized package and ships optics-ready for miniature red-dot sights.
Built on a 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame with crosshatch G10 grip panels, the KDS9c features a fully fluted 4.00 inch stainless steel barrel (1:10" LH) and an optics-ready slide. The Rail variant adds a picatinny-style dust-cover rail for lights/lasers and ambidextrous thumb safeties; standard sights are suppressor-height/optic-co-witness capable with a high-visibility front element.
Ergonomic touches include a reversible magazine release, deep front-strap texturing, and a crisp factory trigger (approx. 3.5–4.5 lb). Overall length and weight are compact for the class, making the KDS9c Rail suitable for concealed carry and range use.
