The KHX Custom (OR) is Kimber's full-size 1911 configured with a 5.0 in match-grade barrel and an optics-ready milled slide that accepts plates for common red-dot footprints. It features Kimber's KimPro gray finish on the slide and frame, stepped hexagonal slide serrations, a stiplex front strap and Hogue Enhanced MagGrip G10 grips with a matching G10 mainspring housing.
Designed as a Government-length 1911, the KHX Custom (OR) ships as an 8+1 .45 ACP with an unloaded weight around 38 oz. Factory sights include a co-witness capable front a rear mounted with an optics plate; the pistol retains traditional 1911 controls including an extended thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety.
