Seller Description
Up for your consideration is a super nice INTERDYNAMIC KG-99 9MM. This is the precursor to the Intratec Tec-9. This gun is in good used condition showing signs of use and wear with some scratches and scuff marks. It has a threaded barrel and a flash suppressor and spacer. It also comes with a mag pouch for two of the 30 round 9 mm magazines that are with the gun. She also comes with three 50 round 9 mm magazines. I have not ever fired this gun. All the mags seem to fit well and lock in place as they should. Rounds chamber nicely. I have a very nice, new Cabela's soft gun/mag carry bag that is included with purchase. It is black and says Cabella's in gold script on front and has tons of pouches for magazines etc.. No manual or original paperwork with this item. I will be posting an AB-10 later whic has those items. with it.
Here is some info I got off the internet.
Interdynamic KG-99
Interdynamic KG-9 - 9x19mm
In 1982, after less than a year of production, the ATF classified the KG-9 as a Title II "machine gun" on the that its open-bolt design made it "readily convertible" to fully-automatic fire. This forced Interdynamic to redesign the KG-9 into a closed bolt system, birthing the KG-99. This was a somewhat welcome change anyway, as the one-pound bolt slamming forward on firing greatly compromised the accuracy of the open-bolt variants.
As the 1980s progressed, shows like Miami Vice popularized the KG-99/TEC-9. The fully automatic guns in that show were KG-99s legally converted to full auto by Title II manufacturers. This is not an open bolt.
