The Heckler & Koch Mark 23 is a large-frame, double/single-action semiautomatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Factory specifications include a 5.87 in threaded barrel, adjustable patridge-style iron sights with a (optional tritium), and a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame with accessory mounting grooves. The Mark 23 ships with 10- or 12-round magazines and has a one-piece machined steel slide with a corrosion-resistant maritime surface treatment.
Controls include an ambidextrous safety lever and a separate frame-mounted decocking lever. The pistol measures 9.65 in overall length, weighs 2.66 lb with an empty 12-round magazine, and is intended for duty/professional applications; select limited-production finish variants (including FDE frame) have been offered through HK USA and distributors.
