The Heckler & Koch VP40 is a polymer-frame, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W with a 4.09 in barrel. It features a firm, single-stage striker trigger, a sight set, and an extended MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) accessory rail under the dust cover for lights or lasers.
The VP40 offers interchangeable grip ergonomics with three backstraps and six side panels to tailor fit, and includes multiple internal safeties: a firing pin block, trigger safety, disconnector, loaded chamber indicator and disassembly safety. The pistol is manufactured in Oberndorf, Germany and is covered by HK's limited lifetime warranty for the original retail purchaser.
