The Heckler & Koch HK45 is a full-size .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol developed as a product improvement on the USP. It features an O-ring fitted, cold hammer-forged polygonal barrel and a reinforced polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps to fit different hand sizes.
HK45 pistols include an integral Picatinny rail for accessories, a 10-round steel magazine (full-size configuration), and drift-adjustable sights on law-enforcement variants. The platform is offered in multiple trigger variants including conventional DA/SA and HK’s enhanced double-action-only (LEM) configuration, and incorporates HK’s combination safety/decocking control and multiple internal safeties.
Slides are machined from high-strength steel with a carbon-nitride “Hostile Environment” corrosion-resistant finish; tactical variants are available with threaded O-ring barrels and suppressor-height sights.
