Obtaining the greatest accuracy for target shooting was the main reason for the development of the GLOCK 24 which has an extended barrel, greater slide dimensions, and unmatched reliability in a .40 S&W pistol. This highly accurate pistol has found widespread use as a competition pistol.
These pistols are almost identical to the standard Glock G17 and G22 except their barrels are 6.02" as opposed to 4.49" and their slides have been lengthened to match. They also have an extended magazine release, adjustable rear sight, and a "minus" connector for a lighter trigger pull.
