The Lorcin L25 eclipsed production of other .25 Autos during its brief tenure of 1988 until 1996. Manufacturer was Lorcin Engineering Co. of Mira Loma, California. Type is single action only, striker fired, blowback action semi-automatic vest pocket pistol, with main safety only. Construction is steel barrel sleeve, firing pin, and internal parts, with zinc alloy / zamak or pot metal barrel shroud, frame, trigger, and magazine release. Grip panels are polymer. Barrel is 2 1/4 inch with six groove right hand 1:16 rifling. Sight is blade front and raised fixed notch rear cast into the slide itself. Chambering is .25 ACP Caliber, and the new Triple K steel magazine holds 7 rounds, 7 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Note the European style butt mounted magazine release. Trigger is .160 polymer smooth face, with left side mounted lever safety. Trigger pull is 10 pound vicinity. Weight empty is 15 ounces. Finish is principally chrome, with white safety lever and grip screw; and black trigger and magazine release. This pistol comes to us from a New England collection. From its 270000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1991 or 1992. We have repaired its grip that had a butt crack, with minimal residual detractions. Apart from that, metal finish is excellent throughout.
