HERE WE A VERY NICE PIECE OR CUSTOM LUGER HISTORY BY THE FAMOUS JOHN V MARTZ FROM CALIFORNIA WELL KNOWN FOR HIS CUSTOM LUGER'S AND WALTHER P38'S. THIS IS A CUSTOM DWM LUGER 9MM WITH A 6" BARREL. THIS PISTOL HAS THE CUSTOM "MSTR" (MARTZ SAFETY TOGGLE RELEASE) ON THIS BUILD. THIS PISTOL LOOKS TO BE ONLY TEST FIRED BY MARTZ. WE HAVE CORRESPONDING PAPERWORK BETWEEN THE OWNER OF THIS ESTATE AND JOHN V MARTZ WHEN HE WAS BUYING THIS FROM MARTZ IN JUNE OF 2001. MARTZ COMPLETED THIS PISTOL AT AGE 76 IN LINCOLN CALIFORNIA. MARTZ DIED JULY 15TH, 2013 JUST A MONTH SHY OF HIS 89TH BIRTHDAY. MARTZ SERVED IN THE NAVY DURING WWII AND RETIRED FROM MCCELLAN AIRFORCE BASE AFTER 25 YEARS AS A SHEET METAL WORKER IN 1976. FROM 1968 TILL THE TIME OF HIS DEATH HE WAS WELL KNOWN FOR HIS WORK WITH LUGERS AND P38'S. HE IS SO WELL KNOWN FOR HIS WORK HE IS LISTED IN THE GUN VALUES BLUE BOOK. THIS IS A GREAT PIECE OF HISTORY AND HERITAGE ONE MAN HAD FOR GERMAN PISTOLS.
