Seller Description
1911 WW I Style copied. Made in 1967 as part of Colt's
Four Battle collection. The Display Case that hung on the
Wall is in pieces, no damage to the Gun. History is lasting.
The U.S.M.C. engaged in the 2nd battle of the Marne River. The German Army had superior numbers, but could not hold
back the fierce fighting the Marines displayed. The German
Commander called them "Devil Dogs"
I test fired the gun, 5 shots. The 1911 has a reputation of
reliability not accuracy. Mainly because it's been issued to
Combat Soldiers since 1917. In service for 4 Wars, wear to
all parts affects it's accuracy. This WW I design is a pleasure
to shoot. Curio & Relics FFL is accepted
