The Colt Gold Cup Trophy is a stainless-steel 1911-pattern competition pistol built around a 5" National Match® barrel and Colt Series 70™ firing system. Factory features include Colt competition blue G10 grips, a custom Colt magwell and factory 25 LPI checkering on the front and rear strap to aid control and fast reloads.
The Trophy model comes with a fiber-optic Novak® front sight and an adjustable rear sight for target work, an undercut trigger guard and upswept beavertail grip safety for improved ergonomics, and ships in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity. The model is offered/marketed specifically for competitive and recreational range use.
