The Colt Defender O7000D is a compact 1911-style single-action pistol chambered in .45 ACP with a 3.0 in barrel and single-stack 7-round magazine (7+1). It uses Colt’s Series 80 firing system with a firing-pin block and ships with Novak LoMount carry sights.
Built as a lightweight Series 90 Defender, the O7000D pairs an aluminum receiver with a brushed stainless steel slide and a stainless-cerakote receiver finish. The pistol includes an upswept beavertail grip safety and a manual thumb safety for 1911-style control, and is specified with an overall length of 8.5 in and an approximate unloaded weight of 37.0 oz.
