The Gold Cup Trophy is Colt’s competition-oriented 1911 built on the Series 70 firing system and a 5" National Match barrel. The Trophy configuration adds 25 LPI checkering on the front and rear strap, a custom Colt magwell and Colt competition G10 grips for faster reloads and improved control.
This two-tone Gold Cup Trophy (blued frame with a stainless slide) ships with competition sights — a fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable Bomar-style rear — and breaks on a Colt wide Series 70 trigger. Controls include a manual thumb safety and an upswept beavertail grip safety suited to high, competitive grips.
