This lightweight Defender configuration pairs a lightweight alloy (aluminum) frame with a stainless slide, a 3 in barrel and a 7+1 capacity in .45 ACP. The pistol ships with Colt-pattern G10 grips and Novak-style dovetail sights.
The Defender uses Colt's short-recoil 1911 design with a manual thumb safety and grip safety and is offered with a Series 70 firing system.
