Colt 1911 Military 45 Cal. (Manufactured in 1918)

This is my father's Colt and holster which he brought back from WWII. It has been in the family for over 70 years and has been recently checked out by local gunsmiths. The Colt is one of a few remaining from the pre WWI period. Serial number 286765 indicates it was manufactured in 1918 as was the holster (which is stamped with the year 1918). the gun is completely functional and has a fine bore, action and grips. All part are original and correct. As would be expected from a Colt this age, there is minor pitting and wear. Additional pictures are available upon request.
