Here is one of the best pistols in the world, a genuine CZ Czech made CZ-83 Double Action 13 shot auto chambered in the effective and popular 9mm Makarov, 9 x 18, caliber. Manufacturer was CZ, Ceská zbrojovka a.s. of the city Uherský Brod, Czech Republic. CAI Importer marks appear on the left side of the slide, with matching serialization reiterated on the grip frame's front strap. Production year was 1989, so stamped on the frame's right side. Type is blowback action semi automatic pistol with double stacked magazine. Construction is entirely steel metal, with polymer grips. Barrel is 3 3/4 inch, with polygonal 6 groove, right hand 250mm rifling. Chambering is for 9x18 Makarov caliber. It will NOT chamber .380 or 9mm Luger ammunition. Slide is .941 wide at the port, and has lateral rear serrations. Sight system is pinned in, dovetailed low profile blade front, with serrated solid rib, and with drift adjustable only dovetailed black notch rear. Trigger is .390 smooth faced combat type, with matching serrated spur hammer. Double action trigger pull travel is 1 inch, with approximately 9 pounds of pressure. Single action is two stage, with 1/2 inch travel, and 4 1/2 inch pull with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Extractor is external. Safety is ambidextrous for cocked and locked single action carry, but will not engage hammer down or on half cock; and will Not decock the pistol. The CZ82 does Not have a firing pin safety. Magazine is factory issue 12 rounder, so 12 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Mag release is ambidextrous. Overall length is 6 5/8 inches; 5 inches height; 1 1/4 inch maximum grip thickness.
