Manufacturer Description
The Browning Buck Mark is a single-action autoloading pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle and introduced by Browning in 1985. It is made in the United States and is built around a straight blowback design with a slide that locks open after the last cartridge is fired. The pistol uses a removable magazine and the standard magazine capacity is 10 rounds.
The Buck Mark series is built on a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum frame for consistent fit and reliability. Operation is via a straight blowback action; the firearm includes a manual thumb-operated, sear-blocking safety. Owner documentation and parts literature describe adjustable rear sights and a variety of front sight options across the model family.
Many Buck Mark models are equipped with Browning Pro-Target™ adjustable rear sights and offer fiber-optic or fixed front sights. Certain configurations include factory optics bases (RMSc or Picatinny) or accessory rail options depending on the specific model variant.
