Seller Description
Here is a distinctive revolver from Argentina, the Rexio RJ38. Manufacturer is Lasserre, S.A. of Buenos Aires. Importer was VAM of Wooster, Ohio. US Importation only ran from 2000 until 2002. From this specimen’s 98000 range serial number, we estimate it was manufactured in 2001. Type is traditional double and single action revolver with swingout cylinder and internal transfer bar safety device. Its lines and mechanism show heavy borrowing from the High Standard / Dan Wesson design revolvers. Construction is steel inner barrel, cylinder, trigger, hammer, and internal parts assembled into a lightweight zinc alloy frame and barrel shroud. Barrel is two piece 2 7/8 inch 1:18.75 six groove left hand, inside a full lug alloy shroud that is pinned into the frame. Front sight is shroud integral raised ramp on solid rib, with a shouldered white outline blade rear sight that is windage adjustable. Cylinder is steel one piece, and holds 6 rounds of standard velocity .38 Smith & Wesson Special Caliber ammunition. This revolver is clearly marked on its frame, Do Not Use +P Ammo. Trigger is .400 serrated face, with .375 serrated spur hammer. Ignition is via floating firing pin. Grips are round butt type finger groove combat, original factory. Finish is glossy anodized and bright blue. Weight empty is 32 3/4 ounces with center of gravity at the trigger. Overall length is 8 inches, with a height of 5 1/2 inches. This revolver comes to us from security duty in New England. Surface detractions are moderate to extensive, principally surface streaking and scouring. We rate it as Good, 70 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, cylinder chambers and mechanism are all bright and clean. Cylinder times correctly with hammer movement to spare in all six positions on both single and double action. Lateral play to the cylinder is minimal with the trigger relaxed, and negligible with the trigger fully depressed. Double action pull is 12 pound vicinity, and the single action pull is a stiff but crisp 6 pounds with minimal overtravel. Blast effect to the frame top strap is minimal, only a faint etchy line with no depth. We estimate this revolver has been fired fewer than 200 times, all with standard velocity ammunition. We’re offering this distinctive Argentine Revolver for only $ 169.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, Illinois, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, or any jurisdiction with a Melt Law or Approved Firearms Roster.
