The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Type F is a polymer-framed, rotating-barrel semi-automatic pistol designed for controllable carry and duty use. It features a reinforced fiberglass technopolymer frame, steel slide and barrel, and a high-capacity staggered magazine (15 rounds for 9mm). The Compact model uses Beretta's rotating barrel locking system to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise.
Factory features include removable front and rear sights equipped with white dots, interchangeable backstraps for grip sizing, an enlarged trigger guard for gloved use, an ambidextrous manual safety/decocker on the slide (Type F), and a standard Picatinny (MIL-STD-1913) rail beneath the barrel for lights or lasers. The PX4 Storm Compact is described by the manufacturer as suitable for law-enforcement/duty and personal defense roles.
