The Beretta 92X Performance Defensive is a steel-framed, competition-oriented 9x19 mm pistol built from the 92X Performance family. It ships with a 4.9 in cold-hammered barrel, a fiber-optic front sight and a micro-metrical adjustable rear sight, and a 15-round magazine capacity.
Designed as a lighter, IDPA-friendly variant of the 92X Performance, the Defensive model uses a lightened alloy steel Vertec-style frame with NISTAN finish, an Xtreme-S adjustable trigger system and ambidextrous thumb safeties with an automatic firing pin safety. The pistol includes a one-piece rubber/plastic wrap-around grip panel and checkered front and backstrap for a secure hold.
