Beretta Model 1934 Military Proofed

This gun has a date of 1944 on it, and is military proofed ( circled 4 over UT ). Serial number on slide matches that on frame. Based on the Blue Book I reference, the Beretta 1934 comes in two chamberings-- a 7.65mm (32acp), or the more common 380acp. My book also states that the model 1934 has a 3 3/8 inch barrel while the model 1935 has a 3 1/2 inch barrel. Because my gun has the shorter barrel, I believe it to be a model 1934. That being said, I may be wrong (would not be the first time) , and am willing to provide whatever a potential buyer would ask for ( within reason of course ) in order to clarify. The gun is in great condition, and functions perfectly. The only exception worth noting is some lines scratched into the grips-- your guess as to what they mean is as good as mine--(perhaps a tally of some unfortunate WW2 participants ).
