.460 ROWLAND

The .460 Rowland produces .44 Magnum velocities utilizing standard .45 ACP bullets of 185 grain or 230 grain weights. Typical velocities are up to 1503 FPS using a Hornady or Nosler 185 grain bullet and up to 1342 FPS with a Hornady 230 grain bullet. In addition this gun will shoot most standard or plus-load .45ACP ammunition. Due to the muzzle brake incorporated into the match-grade barrel, in conjunction with a 20-pound recoil spring (24-pound is also supplied with this gun), felt recoil is similar to a standard .45 ACP—perhaps as much when firing +P/Corbon loads. This gun was constructed using a brand new Para USA GI Expert 1911 model in .45 ACP in Stainless Steel purchased from Para’s Pro Shop. Add-ons include: a light-weight hammer; Wilson Combat beavertail grip safety; 2-piece, full-length guide rod and spring; light-weight adjustable trigger; custom .38 Super firing pin installed by Clark’s Custom Guns; Hogue Wrap-Around target grips; Weigand 1911 Scope Mount and a Burris Fast-Fire red dot sight. The two included magazines have had Wolf plus-pressure springs installed. Also included is a Wilson Combat range bag with 7 exterior mag pouches and two ammo/misc. pouches, the original Para manual, box, lock, .45ACP barrel, bushing, guide rod and springs and 100 rounds of once-fired Starline .460 Rowland brass. (Use your standard .45 ACP dies to reload.) ONLY 100 break-in/test rounds have been fired!
