The Colt Python is a six-shot, single-action/double-action revolver chambered for .357 Magnum (.38 Special and .38 Special +P compatible). It features a full-length, snag-free ejector shroud and a vent-rib barrel with an interchangeable ramp front and an adjustable rear sight. The revolver is fitted with checkered walnut grips with the Colt medallion and a transfer-bar safety mechanism.
Built on Colt’s Python platform, the 6.00 inch model balances controllability and accuracy with a 1-in-14 left-hand twist rifling and an unloaded weight of 46.0 oz. The 6-inch version has an overall length of 11.5 inches and ships in a blued finish (carbon steel) with factory checkered wood grips.
