COLT PYTHON 1975 MINT ORIGINAL BOX PAPERS

Colt Python .357 Magnum – Model I-3660 – 6 inch Royal Blue – 1975 Production – Complete Collector Set – Exceptional Condition

This offering is an opportunity to acquire a true collector-grade Colt Python from the era widely considered the peak of Colt’s craftsmanship. This is a 1975 Colt Python .357 Magnum, Model I-3660, serial number 24392E, produced in a period where the Royal Blue polish reached its highest standard and every revolver was hand built by Colt’s most experienced gunsmiths. Pythons from the mid seventies are not only desirable—they are increasingly rare to find in this level of preservation, especially as a complete boxed set with matching paperwork. Most have been fired heavily, refinished, lost their boxes, or show decades of handling wear. This one is different. This is the type of Python serious collectors search for.

What Makes THIS Python Rare and Valuable

1975 Production: Considered one of the golden years of Python manufacturing. Colt’s internal quality, polishing standards, and hand fitting were at their peak.

Royal Blue Finish: The deep, mirror polished bluing from this period has never been replicated by modern production. Collectors specifically target Pythons from this era because the finish quality is unmatched.

Original Matching Box & Papers: Complete boxed mid seventies Pythons have become scarce. This set includes the correct woodgrain box with matching serial number, Styrofoam insert, manual, warranty documents, test target, and Colt accessory pack.

Excellent to Like New Condition: Most 1970s Pythons show significant handling or firing wear. This example retains exceptional metal finish, crisp markings, sharp edges, and near perfect grips.

Factory Correct Configuration: Original Colt walnut target stocks with gold medallion, adjustable rear sight, vent rib, full underlug 6 inch barrel, no changes, no refinishing, no replaced parts.

Investment Grade: Demand for original, unaltered Royal Blue Pythons continues to rise, especially boxed examples from the best production years. These are consistently outperforming the broader vintage revolver market. This is the kind of Python that stands out even in advanced collections.
