WWII 30 Round Magazine For M1 Carbine

This is an original WWII Type IV 30 round magazine for the M1 Carbine. The Type IV magazine has the lower back of the magazine cut away from the body 3.85 inches above the base, folded at the edges and spot-welded to the magazine body at the rear. This WWII change made manufacturing easier and lowered the cost of the 30 round magazine. The Type IV follower holds the bolt open after the last AI code shows that it was manufactured by Inland.
