WINCHESTER MODEL 61--by Rossi

Remember the old penny arcades? Remember the old shooting galleries with their ducks going one way and the squirrels and bears going the other way? Well, now you can relive those golden times. Up for auction is a Winchester model 61 (by Rossi) just like the rifles you used to use at the shooting galleries. The rifle takes all 3 .22's--shorts and long's. As you can see, this is a pump action rifle, and just about the sweetest .22 rifle ever made. If I've got the story straight, this was John Browning's first design that he submitted to Winchester. They almost rejected it because the designers at Winchester said it wouldn't work. Browning sent them a working model with a note saying it seemed to pretty darn well for him. Anyway, if this rifle doesn't bring back the good-old-days, then I don't know what will. These pump action rifles aren't getting any easier, or cheaper, to find. This one is priced reasonably so you old-timers can have a little fun again.
