Taylor's & Company 1858 Remington New Model Army reproduction in a shortened 5.5-inch configuration. The gun is built on a steel frame with a blued finish, six-shot cylinder and a fixed front blade sight. The revolver ships with smooth wood grips and measures approximately 10.8 inches overall while weighing about 43.2 oz unloaded. The 1858 offered by Taylor’s is a cap-and-ball .44-caliber design (bore ~0.452") and is designed to accept Taylor’s drop-in .45 Colt cartridge conversion cylinders (sold separately), allowing the shooter to switch between black powder percussion and modern .45 LC cartridges. The revolver is single-action, hammer-fired, and intended for recreational and sport/shooting use.
