Manufacturer Description
The Taylor's 1873 Cattleman is a single-action, six-shot revolver built as a faithful reproduction of the Colt Single Action Army design. The model family is produced to Uberti-derived specifications and the design incorporates traditional S.A. lockwork with modern safety enhancements.
Common, verified features across the Cattleman family include a forged steel frame with a case-hardened frame surface paired with blued steel components, smooth walnut one-piece grips, fixed blade front sight and a notched rear sight, and the single-action transfer-bar (or Uberti retractable firing pin style) safety arrangements described in the factory manual. The Cattleman-type revolvers are offered and marketed for cowboy-action / sport shooting and historical/collecting uses.
