The Taurus Tracker 992 is a stainless-steel, double-/single-action rimfire revolver convertible between .22 Long Rifle and .22 Winchester Magnum via removable cylinders. The 4.00 in slab-sided barrel version ships in a matte stainless finish with nine-shot cylinders and a one-piece Ribber® rubber grip.
It features a DA/SA hammer-fired system, a fixed front sight with an adjustable rear sight, and an overall length of 8.80 in with a listed weight of 40.00 oz. The Tracker family is marketed as a field-ready series for plinking, target work and small-game/varmint hunting, and the 992’s vent-rib/barrel shroud on longer models accommodates an optional scope mount (4" shroud lacks vents).
