Taurus Factory Boot Grips Models 65 66 80 82 Square Butt Rubber Minor Fitting Required for Post 1985 Models

These grips are for Taurus Medium Frame Revolvers: models 65, 66, 80, and 82, chambered in .38 Special or .357 Magnum Calibers. While we personally like Taurus's own stippled texture rubber grips that they ship out on their Model 65s, 66s, 80s, 82s, and all their square butt grip frame, medium frame counterparts to the Smith & Wesson K and L frame revolvers, sometimes the factory grips are a bit too large. That's why we're glad we ran up on a closeout on these factory boot grips to fit the Tauruses. While the reduction in butt length is only modest, the reduction in backstap and thickness is quite substantial with these over the original factory grips. Photo shows a pair on one of our Taurus 82 Latin American Police Trade ins; and some of the photos show what a square butt grip frame looks like. Since all our Latin American revolvers were manufactured in the early 1980s and equipped with lanyard rings, we only had to remove the lanyard. Later models like the 82 Stainless Grip Frame showing require some modification to the stud recess inside these grips. The later model Tauruses have bigger studs, and the stud shows plainly in the stainless grip frame photos. All that is necessary is widening out the recess with a 1/4 inch drill bit. In fact, we will be happy to modify them for any buyers, so long as you don’t mind a day or so delay. These grips will not fit revolvers other than Taurus models 65, 66, 80, and 82.
