Seller Description
A very rare Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 .357 magnum. Overall Excellent condition with only a cylinder turnline. No scratches, rust or pitting whatsoever. Original grips also in great shape.
This revolver wears the desirable 3-1/2" pinned barrel with adjustable sights. The chamber mouths are counter-bored ("recessed") and the top strap and barrel rib are finely hand checkered in the tradition of the pre-war Registered Magnum. Made the way a revolver should be, this "old school" Smith doesn't have an "internal safety lock" gizmo, no cheaper to make MIM parts or other shortcuts. The firing pin is located in the hammer. Overall condition is excellent. The mechanics are in perfect shape with perfect timing and lock-up. The bore is likewise excellent with bright, sharp rifling. The serial number place production in about 1976. A very very nice revolver. More pictures upon request. Negotiable but will not entertain lowball offers.
