The Smith & Wesson 940-3 is a stainless-steel, hammerless J-frame style revolver chambered in 9mm Luger. It is a five-shot double-action-only design built with a short (˜2.17 in) shrouded/fluted barrel and a fluted cylinder. The 940-3 ships equipped with a Tritium XS front night sight dovetailed into the barrel and a dovetailed U-notch rear sight.
The model is sized for deep carry and personal defense with an overall length of about 6.6 inches and a compact footprint. The factory configuration ships with Hogue over-molded rubber (Bantam) grips and is offered in a stainless finish.
