The Smith & Wesson Governor is a six-shot revolver built on a large Z-frame with a lightweight heat-treated scandium alloy frame and a stainless steel cylinder. It ships in a matte black finish and uses shock-absorbing synthetic grips.
Chambered to accept 2.5" .410 shotshells as well as .45 Colt and .45 ACP (the .45 ACP requires moon clips), the Governor features a 2.75 in barrel, a dovetail-mounted tritium front night sight and a fixed rear sight. Unloaded weight is listed at 29.6 oz with an overall length of 8.5 in. Moon clips (6-round and 2-round) are supplied for use with .45 ACP.
