Smith & Wesson 38/44 Outdoorsman

Smith & Wesson Model 38/44 Outdoorsman Model of 1950 Revolver serial #S86002, 38 Special, 6 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This somewhat rare revolver features a ribbed barrel with partridge front sight, micrometer click adjustable rear sight, earlier six groove back strap and forestrap. The metal surfaces retain 99% original finish with only flaws being a light turn ring on cylinder and a very small nick along the edge of the sideplate. The hammer and trigger retain strong vivid color case-hardening and the diamond centered walnut Magna stocks rate excellent with the right stock numbered to revolver. Included with revolver is a non-matching blue two-piece Bangor Punta cardboard box with homemade information label on end flap. A nice pre model 23 Outdoorsman revolver in near excellent condition.
