From its V502000 range serial number, we estimate that this Smith & Wesson Victory Model Revolver was manufactured in 1943. The series began with V1 in 1942, and run until V800000 range by 1945. This Victory appears original throughout, except with the possible replacement of its ejector rod, since the finish is parkerized except for that one part. What is even more distinctive than its military marking is its law enforcement marking. Digits ISP.30 grace the left side of the frame beneath the thumb latch. Illinois State Police, number 30.
