Sig Sauer M17 Military Surplus

This SIG SAUER M17 Caliber 9m/m was one of a limited number of pistols issued to the US Army for field testing. After the two year test period was over the US Army returned the pistols to Sig Sauer and full scale production began. Sig Sauer did a one time release of these limited number field test pistols to the public. This M17 has the original government-issued markings and government serial number. Has a second platoon sticker on the trigger guard. Pistol has a three digit serial number. Bright bore with sharp lands. This handgun is equipped with SIGLITE sights (orange rear & green front), removable night sight rear plates, and the optic cut as specified by military contract, ready to fit a SIG SAUER Electro-Optics ROMEO1Pro Optic. Night sights are functional on this pistol. This M17 features an ambidextrous manual safety, ships with original military (1) 17-round and (2) 21-round magazines. Pistol includes an official SIG SAUER M17 Certificate of Authenticity and comes packed just as the handguns were delivered to the U.S. Military. This M17 comes with the Sig Sauer “Certified Pre-owned Pistols”warranty. Includes two recoil springs one spring for firing military 9 m/m +P NATO ammo and another spring for firing standard 9m/m ammo. This M17 also comes with an official Freedom of Information Act(FOIA) letter from the Department Of The Army. FOIA letter information shows that at one point in time this M17 was issued to the 28th Infantry Regiment also known as the Black Lions. Pistol will come with unaltered FOIA letter as well as a Black Lions military decal as shown in photo twenty two.
