The Super Redhawk Alaskan is Ruger’s compact big-bore magnum revolver designed for trail and dangerous-game carry. This Alaskan configuration is chambered for .454 Casull and is listed by the manufacturer as compatible with .45 Colt. It is built on Ruger’s extended Super Redhawk frame and is fitted with a Hogue Monogrip to help cushion heavy recoil.
This Alaskan variant features a 2.5in hammer-forged barrel inside the extended frame, a six-shot cylinder with Ruger’s triple-locking cylinder mechanism, and ramp front with an adjustable rear sight. The Alaskan is offered in a satin stainless finish and the factory unloaded weight is listed at approximately 42 oz.
