The Ruger Super Redhawk 5502 is a large-frame, stainless-steel double-action revolver built for heavy-duty shooting and hunting. It features Ruger's triple-locking cylinder, a cold hammer-forged 9.5 in barrel, integral scope mounts and supplied scope rings, a replaceable ramp front sight (non-Alaskan models with a red ramp insert) and an adjustable rear sight. The revolver ships with a Hogue Tamer cushioned rubber monogrip to help manage recoil.
Model 5502 is chambered in .44 Remington Magnum with a 6-round cylinder. The 9.5 in barrel configuration has an overall length of 15 in and an unloaded weight of approximately 58 oz. The Super Redhawk line uses Ruger's transfer-bar mechanism for drop safety and is finished in satin stainless.
