The Ruger LCR model 5401 is a compact, lightweight 5-shot revolver chambered in .38 Special +P. It features a 1.875 in (1 7/8") barrel, Hogue Tamer monogrip, and replaceable pinned ramp front sight with a fixed U-notch rear sight. The monolithic frame is made from aerospace-grade 7000-series aluminum with a black synergistic hard-coat finish, and the high-strength stainless steel cylinder is fluted to reduce weight.
Designed as a small-frame concealed-carry and personal-defense revolver, the LCR 5401 has a double-action-only trigger system that uses Ruger’s patented friction-reducing cam and a transfer-bar safety. The model lists an overall length of 6.50 in and a reported unloaded weight of 13.5 oz, making it suitable for everyday carry and range use.
