The Ruger GP100 Match Champion is a six-shot double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum (capable of firing .38 Special). It is built on Ruger's GP100 platform with a 4.20 in slab-sided, half-lug barrel finished with an 11-degree target crown and a six-round cylinder.
Factory match-tuned internals include polished springs and hammer struts plus trigger and hammer shims for a smooth, consistent pull. The Match Champion features a chamfered cylinder and ejector, triple-locking cylinder lockup and a Novak Lo-Mount carry rear sight paired with a quick-change fiber-optic front sight, and ships with Hogue stippled hardwood monogrip panels.
The model is offered in a satin stainless finish, lists an overall length of approximately 9.50 in and an unloaded weight near 38 oz. The GP100 family transfer-bar safety system is used to provide positive internal drop protection.
