The New Model Super Blackhawk Hunter is a single-action hunting revolver built on Ruger’s Super Blackhawk platform. The Hunter models are factory-equipped with integral scope bases machined into the barrel rib and are supplied with scope rings; they feature a cold hammer-forged barrel, a transfer-bar safety and loading gate interlock, and a traditional western-style, hand-filling grip for comfortable pointing.
Hunter models have a fixed ramp front sight and an adjustable rear sight; the Hunter is provided with an interchangeable front sight insert to tune point-of-impact. Chambered for .44 Magnum (and capable of firing factory .44 Special), the Hunter is intended and spec’d for precision shooting in hunting and outdoor use.
