The Ruger New Model Single-Six is a single-action rimfire revolver from Ruger’s New Model Single-Six family. Convertible versions are supplied with two cylinders allowing use of .22 Long Rifle and .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire cartridges. The Single-Six line is built around Ruger’s New Model single-action mechanism and is intended for rimfire shooting and small-game use.
The New Model Single-Six incorporates Ruger’s transfer-bar safety mechanism which permits the revolver to be carried with all chambers loaded when the hammer and trigger are fully forward. Convertible models include a fluted cylinder for .22 Long Rifle and an unfluted cylinder marked for .22 Winchester Magnum; the revolver utilizes six chambers.
Windage- and elevation-adjustable rear sights are provided on many models in the family; Hunter variants feature a target-crowned barrel and integral rib cut for Ruger scope rings. Features vary by specific model/configuration; consult the factory spec sheet for a particular SKU.
