The Remington Woodsmaster series semi-automatic rifles have ruled the fields and deer woods since their introduction in 1955. Here is the current, most popular variant of that series, the Model 750 Woodsmaster. Manufacturer is Remington Arms of Ilion, NY. Type is gas operated semi automatic high powered rifle. Chambering is .243 Winchester caliber. Construction is steel barrel, receiver, magazine, bolt, and trigger, with polymer trigger housing and action port shield. Metal finish is matte blue throughout, with matching trigger assembly. Stock and forend are graphite based black polymer, semi beavertail stippled panel forend, with matching stippled panel, Monte Carlo type buttstock whose length of pull measures at 13 1/8 inches from the .225 smooth steel trigger face to the end of the 7/8 inch factory recoil pad. Barrel is 22 inch 1:9 right hand 6 groove. Sights are screw on two piece serrated ramp front with dovetailed white tipped blade; and windage and elevation adjustable classic 700 screw on rear sight. All 750 receivers are drilled and tapped for Weaver 61A size scope or optics bases or see through rings. Weight empty no scope is 7 pounds 5 ounces, with center of gravity one inch forward of the receiver. With a scope and mounts, and the mild recoiling caliber, this rifle will be the most pleasant shooter in its class of high powered rifles capable of taking big game at 300 yard distances. Magazine is factory Remington Steel, removable 4 shot, so 4 + 1 capacity. Note the magazine’s bolt release and polymer bumper; this rifle will also function well with 760 type short action magazines. Forend bolt is factory issue Michaels with sling swivel, to match the buttstock’s integral swivel port. This specimen comes to us from a Louisiana Dealer. It is in a correct but unlabeled factory box with instruction manual and trigger lock. From its CG barrel code, it was manufactured in April of 2012. We do not detect any surface detractions on this rifle. Story is, that it is unfired. If it has been fired, it was fewer than 20 times.
