Since there never were any Mec-Gar magazines to be found for the Walther P-88 pistols, manufactured only from 1988 until 1993; and since the only factory mags to be had are from our old friend Earl in Tewksbury, MA at around $150 per, here is Pro-Mag’s offering, and its steel bodied construction is so simple. Caliber, of course, is 9mm, THE 9mm – 9x19, 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, 9mm NATO, call it what you will, and capacity is 14 rounds. These will only fit the Walther P-88 compact; to our knowledge, they will not fit any other pistol. Followers are nicely stamped flat blue steel, and polymer floorplates look substantial enough. All these are brand new, manufactured in South Gate, California; and we certainly need to support whatever is left of employment and of the firearms industry in California. Packaging advertises Pro-Mag’s Lifetime Warranty, certainly an attractive feature, and the company domain is promagindustries. These magazines are now discontinued, we are told, and we very well may have gotten the last couple dozen there were. The Israeli P-88 in the photos is not included, of course.
