Here is Smith & Wesson’s 11 round magazine for its 4000 series pistols chambered in .40 S&W caliber. We have outfitted these magazines with Kel-Tec’s new number PO43 factory produced grip extension that puts any standard length magazine for a Smith & Wesson 4000 series pistol into the Kel-Tec P-40’s magazine well, and the nifty little Kel-Tec Accessory gives a very ergonomic grip contour with its extension properties. This setup is specifically for the P-40 pistol. It will not work in a Taurus, or a Smith & Wesson, or the middle stick of a Case 520 Backhoe. It will not work in the Kel-Tec P-11, because the P11 is 9mm caliber. Manufacturer on the Magazine itself is Smith & Wesson. These are solid stainless steel bodied magazines with hard polymer blue cartridge followers and black polymer floorplate. The Pre-Ban specimens have yellow followers and scoring on their front sides. Any civilian buyers in New York or Massachusetts may take only the Pre-Bans. All of these are surplus from the Atlanta Police Department and well maintained. We classify them as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent finishwise and excellent mechanically. The grip adapter is Kel-Tec factory; more than any other manufacturer besides perhaps Glock itself, Kel-Tec has lent credibility to polymer. Each magazine holds 11 rounds of .40 S&W caliber ammunition, two more rounds than the standard P-40 Magazines.
