Iver Johnson old model safety hammer

The finish on this old 38 S&W revolver has worn to a blotchy gray patina. The gun has a 3.25 inch barrel with a good bore (very little light pitting) for its age. The black owls head grips are perfect. The barrel to frame lockup is tight but the cylinder doesn't always index properly. It may over rotate slightly. The trigger works the mechanism correctly, but does not return to its proper position after being pulled. You need to push it forward to its starting position with your index finger. Please remember that these old model guns were made to be fired with cartridges loaded with black powder. I am selling this as an antique/ show piece, NOT AS A SHOOTER.
