Seller Description
For those interested in an operable steel frame U.S. made revolver, this one certainly is; but be advised that the cylinder removes completely in order to reload or unload, much like its competitors the H&R model 622 and the RG 14S revolvers. From its relatively low serial number, C40xx, we estimate that this Iver Johnson Cadet Model 55-S was manufactured in the early 1960s at the latest, perhaps even in the 1950s, since production began in 1955 and this one has its original walnut grips. This Cadet functions well on single action, but the double action needs work. All the parts are intact, but we suspect it needs a new trigger rebound spring, and possibly some work to the hand. Bore and cylinder chambers are Very Good. Finish is about 70 percent by our estimate. The frame is better than the barrel exterior, and a good bit of the original casehardening is left on the hammer. Own this nice old steel frame Cadet for only $83.95 “$100 out-the-door” for Tennessee Residents.
