Here we have a very collectable Iver Johnson Topbreak Safety Hammer Automatic Double-Action Second Model small frame revolver. It is chambered for the .32S&W black powder cartridges and has a 5-shot cylinder with a ribbed round 3” barrel, cylinder is free wheeling when at rest. This model features the double top latch, and it was manufactured in 1897 with serial number A877XX. Marked on the top of the barrel rib: IVER JOHNSON'S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS FITCHBURG. MASS.U.S.A. PAT' .25.96 PAT'S PENDING. This gun is nickel-plated and the plating is in good condition, showing only minor wear. The hard rubber grips feature the Iver Johnson Owl looking toward the barrel, that is sought after by collectors. Both grips are in good condition, with the right grip showing just a slight chip.
