Seller Description
European American Armory has had a substantial amount of success with their Witness series of autos. We knew, when Tangfolio of Italy first began producing those pistols in the 1980s that something good was going on. The grandparent company to E.A.A., of course, was Eig Cutlery of Miami in the 1950s and 60s, then F.I.E., Firearms Import & Export, during the 1970s, and finally evolution into the fine company they are today. All of us began together selling cheap guns during the 1950s. First, Eig Cutlery sold the RG line of revolvers, and a few of them had steel frames and two piece full lug barrels. By the late 1960s, up until the mid 1980s, F.I.E. sold a good many of the HW-7, HW-22, and HW-357 Revolvers in the Seventies, manufactured by H. Weirauch in Germany. These were, and present specimen is, a decent revolver. This is the E.A.A. Windicator descendant, a .357 Magnum chambered Double Action revolver with steel frame, steel barrel and internal parts, and traditional pot-metal barrel shroud on the order of the better RG revolvers and the HW-357. Barrel is 2 inch with an indented rib, not properly ventilated like the older HW-357, but then the old HW revolvers would sometimes pop their ribs loose. Grip frame is a steel stem much on the same order as the Ruger GP revolvers, and the grip is a pleasant feeling round butt size combat finger groove grip, about the same size as the Sile Grips for Colt D Frame revolvers from the 1970s. Firing pin is a floater, like the current crop of Smith & Wessons, and firing pin and spring maintenance is relatively easy with a split screwdriver. Weight is a well balanced 25 ounces. This revolver, as its fans in Memphis say, has the Weight and the Power. Capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Special or .357 Magnum interchangeably. On these, much like the small frame Rossis, we recommend firing with .38 Special and then only sparing use of full-house magnums. Like most double actions, the Weirauch design of this E.A.A. Windicator is equipped with a transfer bar to keep the hammer away from the firing pin on a chambered round during transport. Note that the Weirauch logo is tastefully executed on the forward right side of the frame, next to the words Made in Germany, right beside the brand name EAA Rockledge, Florida. We’re offering the revolver in the photo, or any of its identical mates we might be able to scare up, for only $ 319.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, the District of Colombia, or Massachusetts. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $15 lower 48; $40 Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, USPS Priority, insured with Delivery Confirmation.
